Our Story

Covenant Church began in July of 2012 when a group of Christians, rooted in Biblical truth, came together to establish a body of Christ in the reformed tradition. Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) is the first EPC church in Lenawee County.

Our church family rented an empty church building on north Evans Street for 6 years. During that time we grew in faith, in caring for each other, and in service to our community.

As our congregation and ministries grew, our rented church home became too small for our needs. We began to explore other options, but God had a better plan.

In August of 2017, we began a conversation with our brothers and sisters in Christ at First Baptist Church in Tecumseh. Their faith community had become too small to support their church building. They offered the building to the members of Covenant Church as our new permanent home.

We praise God for the gift of this building through the members of First Baptist Church. Covenant Church held its first service at 5290 Milwaukee Road in May of 2018.

Covenant Church is home to Celebrate Recovery, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), and we developed and support the Learning Cove reading tutoring program. We host close to 100 children every year for Vacation Bible School.

Middle and high school youth grow in faith and compassion through our Youth Group program. Youth Group offers many volunteer and mission opportunities.

There are also fellowship and learning activities for all ages.

New guests will experience a warm and welcoming atmosphere where they can grow in faith and learn from the Bible. We offer both traditional and contemporary worship services.

We love Jesus, treasure God’s Word and help people who are hurting.

God is Good all the Time!
