Leadership Notes
We could not be happier to announce that Stacia Serafin has joined the staff of Covenant Church as Director of Children and Youth Ministry. Her first day in her office will be this Friday, June 4. This is a part-time {15 hours per week} position. Her weekly schedule will vary, depending on her other job. Stacia has been a part of Covenant Church for many years. God has opened up a wonderful opportunity for us and her. God is good all the time!
Initially, Stacia is going to ease in to her position. As is obvious, there will be a lot of rebuilding to be done in post-pandemic youth ministry. We are taking a go-slow approach as she gets a sense of where God in leading us in youth and family ministry. This includes youth group, children's Sunday School, and other related endeavors.
Please keep Stacia and how God plans to use her in ministry here at Covenant Church in your prayers. Only God knows where all this is leading and, as always, we trust Him for the journey.
Unrelated Food for Thought:
The Problem with the Prosperity Gospel Isn't That it Promises
Health and Wealth. It's the Timing. It promises them Now.
Here's your closing Moment of Spurgeon:
"When people always shift their doctrinal principles, they are not likely to
bring forth much fruit to the glory of God. It is good for young believers to
begin with a firm hold upon those great fundamental doctrines which the
Lord has taught in His Word."
With Much Love and Affection,
Richard
