IDEA: Share your Savior and King
Words to spark:
journey, road, world, run, race, strive, try, give, announce, advance, move, progress, travel, tell, share, shout, advertise, make known, sprint, evangelize, live, show, time, foghorn, constellation, map, filling station, car, bike, shoes,
Scripture:
Matthew 29:19-20 (NLT)
19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Thought:
When we have a better understanding of the gospel we won’t have to be told to “go”, we’ll have to be held back.
Meditation:
The driving purpose of this entire study is to bring you here:
Who is God?
What is sin?
Who is the Remedy for sin?
How will that Remedy change you?
How will you respond?
Your answers to these questions sum up the gospel of Jesus Christ for you personally in a way that you can share with those who need to hear it.
Whether you have expressed yourself through artwork or words, it is the humble prayer of this writer that you not only have a grasp of the message of the gospel, but the boldness to share it with everyone you encounter for the rest of your life on this earth, wherever it may take you.
Has God asked you to travel to the remotest parts of the planet to share His love in Jesus Christ?
I don’t know, that’s between you and Him.
What I do know is that regardless of how far you travel, whether it’s to Peru or to Perky Pantry, you are to carry the joy of your Salvation with you.
God isn’t meant to be hoarded.
Sin isn't meant to be dismissed.
Jesus isn’t meant to be neglected.
The Holy Spirit isn’t meant to be smothered.
Salvation isn’t meant to be a secret.
So respond to this last topic with your art, with your words, with your heart, but most of all with your life.
If God is worth anything, He is worth everything.
Once we understand that we won’t have to be told to go, we’ll have to be held back.
